The latest aeration vertical tillage tool, the HALO AerWay, combines Salford’s industry-leading AerWay aerators with its high clearance independent blade mounts and finishing systems for the best in soil aeration and residue management. A true vertical tillage tool, this unique machine is designed to run up to eight inches deep with AerWay’s unique forged Shattertine. The HALO AerWay features high speed and durability, operator ease of use, low maintenance and a forward folding design for safer, narrow transport on roadways. No job would be complete without the perfect field finish, that’s why the HALO AerWay come with its standard double 14” rollers.
TRUE VERTICAL TILLAGE - AERWAY TINES AND TILLAGE COULTERS
The HALO AerWay’s front gang carries 8 in. forged Shattertines in rows of 4. The tines penetrate deep into the ground improving soil’s air and moisture storage capacity and relieving soil compaction.
Front Row of AerWay Shatter Tines:
– 8 inch forged ag tines, 4 tines per row
– 10 inches between rows
– 3 gang angle settings
The HALO AerWay’s rear row of 22 inch, 13 wave coulters size residue and help to level and close the pockets created by the Shattertines. The combination of tines and blades creates net 5 inch spacing through the machine.

ADJUSTABLE TINE AND BLADE ANGLES
HALO AerWay has 3 adjustments for tine gang angle and 3 adjustments for the blade angle. To adjust the angles, move the rear pin back to the desired position, move the frame back against the pin. Install the forward pin ahead of the frame to keep the frame in place
DOUBLE 14 INCH ROLLER
HALO AerWay comes with a double 14 roller on a new level linkage finishing system. The heavy duty rollers are designed to size soil clods, condition residue and level the field surface.
Roller pressure is set by a single point hydraulic valve and is engineered for continuous even operating pressure.
ROLLER BEARINGS AND LEVEL LINKAGE
The double 14 inch rollers are carried by 1 1/2” bearings. The linkage is a simple, maintenance free system with bushings and hardened pins.
NARROW TRANSPORT
HALO uses a forward folding design for narrow transport making it safer and easier to travel, even on narrow, populated roads.
600/50R22.5 TIRES
600/50R22.5 tires provide maximum floatation in the field and make for safe transport on the way to the field and between farms.
SINGLE POINT HYDRAULIC CONTROLS
HALO uses single point depth control for the machines operating depth, making for fast, easy adjustments to the tillage action.
The rear finishing system also uses single point hydraulic control to regulate down pressure. This allows operators to quickly adapt to field conditions.
CONSTANT FLOW HYDRAULIC WING DOWN PRESSURE
HALO’s wings can be run with active down pressure. This keeps the machine operating level from side to side and ensures wings stay engaged in tough conditions.
FORE/AFT HYDRAULIC ADJUSTMENTS WITH NEUTRAL OPERATION
HALO’s fore/aft pitch can be adjusted from the cab and set to float or neutral during operation. HALO’s ability to be ran in neutral allows the machine to run level in a greater variety of field conditions for a superior finish.
The fore/aft hydraulic system is protected by a hydraulic accumulator while running in neutral.
MAIN FRAME PITCH INDICATOR
HALO’s mainframe has large pitch indicator that can be easily seen from the cab.
HEAVY FRAME FOR MULTIPLE GROUND ENGAGING OPTIONS
HALO’s rectangular main frame is 6 inch by 6 inch tubular steel, 3/8 inch thick. All frame members are capped for maximum durability and longevity. The front and rear mainframe bars are designed to carry multiple different tillage modules.
HALO’s tongue is 6 inch by 8 inch on 2 piece frame models, and 6 inch by 10 inch on 3 piece frame models.
COLOUR CODED OPERATOR CONVINCE CENTER
Salford implements feature a color coded operator’s convince center that manages and protects the hydraulic hoses and lighting connection. The operator’s manual is also housed here in a weather proof container.
